Pausing is the recommended way to take a break from market season. Your catalog, products, and categories are all kept — just resume when you’re ready.

Who can pause

Pausing is available on Season Pass and Annual plans. Free plan accounts don’t need to pause — the free plan has no billing to stop.

How to pause

  1. In the Shopify Admin, open PopUp and go to Subscription
  2. Tap Pause subscription
  3. Confirm
Your subscription is scheduled to pause at the end of your current billing cycle. You won’t be billed again until you reactivate.

What happens when you pause

  • PopUp stays fully active until the end of your current billing cycle
  • At the end of the cycle, billing stops and the PopUp POS tile goes inactive
  • Your products and categories are preserved
  • Your data is kept for up to 2 years from the pause date

Reactivating

When your next season starts, reactivate from the Subscription page and pick up exactly where you left off.

How to resume after a pause

Pausing vs. cancelling

Pause — data kept for 2 years, resume anytime. Season Pass pauses at end of billing cycle; Annual pauses at end of annual term. Cancel — ends the subscription permanently. Data is deleted after a 30-day grace window. If there’s any chance you’ll come back next season, pause instead of cancel.
