Adding a category

Add a category

1. In the Shopify Admin, open PopUp and go to Categories
2. Tap Add category
3. Enter a name (e.g. “Vegetables”, “Dairy”, “Honey”)
4. Optionally add a tile (color + illustration)
5. Tap Save

Assign products to this category

1. Open a product
2. In the Category field, tap your new category name
3. Save the product

​

Tips

• Keep category names short — they appear as tabs in POS
• You don’t need many categories — 3–6 works well for most vendors
• Products without a category appear in the All tab
