Setting a product inactive hides it from the POS product browser. The product is still in your catalog and can be reactivated at any time. Use this when a product is temporarily out of stock or out of season.

Set a product inactive

  1. Open the product in the Shopify Admin
  2. Toggle the Active switch off
  3. Tap Save
The product disappears from the POS browser on the next sync.

Reactivate a product

  1. Open the product
  2. Toggle Active back on
  3. Tap Save

Inactive vs. deleted

Inactive products are hidden but preserved — all their details, history, and SKU are kept. Deleting a product removes it permanently.
