# Your data

> How long your products and catalog are kept under each plan and state.

Your data — products, categories, settings, and account — is yours. Here's exactly how long it's kept in every scenario.

## Data retention summary

| Situation | Data kept |
| ----------------------------------- | ---------------------------------- |
| Active subscription (any paid plan) | Indefinitely |
| Free plan (any status) | Indefinitely — no expiry |
| Paused (Season Pass or Annual) | 2 years from pause date |
| Cancelled (manual) | 30-day grace window, then deleted |
| Lapsed (failed payment) | 90 days, then deleted |
| App uninstalled from Shopify | 48 hours, then permanently deleted |

## Free plan

Your data is never deleted on the free plan. There's no billing and no expiry — your catalog stays intact as long as your Shopify store is active.

## Paused accounts

When you pause a Season Pass or Annual subscription, your data is kept for up to **2 years**. We'll send you reminder emails before the 2-year mark so you have time to reactivate or export your data.

Reactivate anytime before the 2-year mark and your catalog is exactly as you left it.

## Cancelled accounts (manual cancellation)

After cancelling, you have a **30-day grace window** where your data is still accessible and you can reactivate. After 30 days, your account and all data are permanently deleted.

## Lapsed accounts (failed payment)

If a payment fails and your subscription lapses, your data is kept for **90 days**. This gives you time to update your payment method in Shopify and reactivate. After 90 days, data is deleted.

## Exporting your data

Before cancelling or letting a subscription lapse, export your product catalog from **Products → Export CSV**. This gives you a backup you can re-import if you ever start fresh.
