# Deleting a product

> Permanently remove a product from your catalog.

Deleting a product removes it permanently. This cannot be undone.

If you want to hide a product temporarily, [set it inactive](/docs/managing-products/setting-inactive) instead.

## Delete a product

1. Open the product in the Shopify Admin
2. Tap **Delete** at the bottom of the form
3. Confirm in the dialog

The product is removed from your catalog and will no longer appear in POS.

  Deleting a product cannot be undone. If you might need the product again, set it inactive instead.
